vixen's life had been hell from the second she was born. brought into the world by two parents who had no business procreating at all let alone with each other, they often took it out on their thankfully-only child: refusing her food if she had asked too many questions, hitting her for speaking out of turn, inappropriately grabbing at her uncomfortably-developing body to call her fat, and any and everything else that would stunt the growth of any other child. eventually, vixen had grown to use hockey as her outlet for her tumultuous home life. it worked for three long, long years. one game, she had hit another player a little too hard and the parent decided to press charges, leading vixen's father to lay hands on her for the very last time. he hit her, and she hit him back again and again and again and again and again until even his darling, enabling wife could hardly recognize him anymore.so they went to prison for aggravated assault and spent a few long-ass years there before they could really live again. on the night of dio's college acceptance party, the friend group all went drinking. with much persuasion from vixxie, █████ ended up drinking too much, confiding in them privately that she was suicidal and this was her "last hurrah so [she] could stay young and beautiful forever". they tried to dissuade her, but ultimately let her get behind the wheel anyway. she sped down the slick street, cut the wheel, and hit a tree going 99 miles per hour. the two girls in the front were killed almost instantly, and dio and vixxie were the only survivors. the driver's death was not ruled a suicide, but they knew the truth.he wasn't the same after the incident. therapy didn't work, pills didn't work, going to the gym didn't work, going outside and drinking more fucking water didn't work, and so he tried the only thing he knew that would end his pain permanently. he couldn't even do that right; dio found him and kept him alive until an ambulance came. his trip to the psych ward was not brief or pleasant, but after his release on good behavior, he decided it was time for a change. gathering some old friends, they started botched suicide, a hardcore band that has since gathered quite a lot of fans for being in such a know-nothing town.
